Are actually paying stipends to Bahrain's domestiques?
60 km to go and they were all dropped already.

Time gap between Steven and peloton frozen at 6’02” for quite a while. That can’t be true with the upped pace in the peloton
Don't underestimate the dominator of the Giro 2016

remember he was miles and miles ahead of the competition there, Nibali fluked himself to the win

Kruijswijk is a much better climber than the guys 'driving' the peloton.

And Movistar wondering why they keep losing to Sky, whilst leading their train up the mountain. Truly a head scratcher.

Less than 20 in peloton with 5 Sky. Anybody still thinks Castro wouldn't be top 1-2 mountaim dom in any other team?

Well, in Movistar he wasn't

Meanwhile, Geschke is still there for Dumoulin.

Geschke > Bahrein.

Let that sink in

Seriously, what’s the reasoning behind Movistar and Ag2r riding tempo here rather than letting the team in yellow do it?

I know everyone is howling that they’ve bottled out of contesting the win after one mountain stage, but I refuse to believe that yet. So assuming that isn’t it, what do they think they gain by allowing Sky doms to stay fresh?

Movi's have made no impression on SK, or the break. I hope he has a chance. But the main drama is still ahead.

Landa was actually the one guy - if healthy - that I had reasonable hope of being able to recover and drop Sky. Guess Movistar wants to believe it is Quintana.

Like i said before - today i somehow understand it. The reason is Kruijswijk. He already showed that he is capable of even winning a GT. Yesterday Bahrein however...

Sky looking threadbear, some say the Dawg is looking on an off day, so get prepared for him to take Il Pirata's record on the Alpe.

Bardet looking good, so expect him to be dropped at Bend 18 on the Alpe.
