Starting to pick up the pace? 30sec off the gap in the last couple of minutes

A lot riders probably done with their assistance once they hit the bottom of the climb so they do what they can now

I think that Sky don't want Thomas in the yellow jersey by the end of the day so they have deliberately soft pedalled to allow GVA some leeway. The other teams are happy to allow them dictate and I think GVA could have a 3 minute + lead by the end of the stage.

Sky seems to be at the front of all the stages it seems, they're there in the sprint finishes, they're there at the cobbles, and of course they're at the front in the mountains.

I don't usually complain about uneventful stages, but this is really spectacularly boring.

If Kristoff is still in there which I saw him earlier, you know the pace can't be that fast.

If instead of the first, this was the third Alpine stage...
They'd smoke the first two because of the third one; and the third one because of the Pyrenees.

I doubt they’d do that with Alpe d’Huez

That is the nightmare scenario for them as Thomas might get ideas.
