Anybody of interest in the break, or just stagehunters?
Soler makes it possibly interesting.
It doesn't.

The peloton has had 7 years to figure out that riding Sky's pace doesn't disrupt Team Sky.

The peloton is simply letting Sky do the work again. I predict we will hear more about how headwinds made it impossible to attack again. It is amazing how ASO always picks a course that always goes into the wind.

We shall see. We’re almost at Froome-attack range...
We're at Rowe driving pace range, which always lasts until the final 40km, ergo, Sky will always have 6/7 dudes until the critical part of the stage.

Should movistar not have put one of the three lads in the chasing groups to force sky to chase?
Movistar?

Agression?

In the Tour?

I chuckled

That's the thing, it wouldn't even have to be aggressive. Valverde could sit in the larger group up front while sky burned riders chasing it down once it got too far ahead

Exactly. Any team with more than one GC possibility should have one in the break there. Not just teammates that aren't gonna be able to do anything cause your main GC rider won't attack early anyway and cayse Sky will outnumber you 4 to 1 in domestiques.

it couldn't get too far ahead with Valverde in it, they would stop it getting more than 50 metres up the road.

Fine. At least they'd be making them work.

It wouldn't work as noone in the break would want to ride with Valverde in the break.

Alaphilippe would, he wants the polka dots. Same for the likes of Barguil. If Izaguirre is there for Nibs, he might as well work with Valverde. Etc etc etc.

Wasn't Valverde in a large break some years ago but decided to sit up after a while because it wouldn't work? (it's a pretty vague memory so don't know the exact circumstances)
