Sad when golf is a better watch than a Sunday Tdf stage. Back to Carnoustie...

Cort must have devastating blackmail material on those two clowns.

I don't think they could have won this in any scenario. Why not make it quick and painless and just hand over the win?

They could have not done much anyway

They could have sat on him and then taken it turns to attack and go over the top. Does it work? Probably not. But it’s more likely to work than taking an actual professional sprinter to the line and then trying to beat him in a sprint.

I kind of agree, but not unusual for Le Tour
In fairness, it would have taken a really good stage to beat Tiger leading a major on Sunday for the 1st time in a decade.

Hard to find an agreement between them. He’s also much stronger on the flats. When Jon attacked it took him 50m to catch him

When Izagirre attacked and Mollema left a gap, he came back at much higher speed to the other two who had slowed down.

Perfect moment to keep going, either they don't get on your wheel or Cort cooks himself bringing you back.
Basic move that any junior would know to make.

Even that move was too advanced for Mollema, apparently.

I know the guy started cycling very late and missed most formative years, but FFS he's been a pro for years he should at least have a grasp of the basics.

Excellent stage!
It was worth spending Sunday afternoon with the broadcast.
We've had everything today.

Congrats to Maggie and all others featuring today.

It’s 15 years we say that Le Tour should learn from the Giro and still nothing much done. Would a stage like this have been possible on the penultimate Sunday of the Giro?!?!
