Oh how one could wish that Lotto would just have the balls to challenge Sky rather than help them in an attempt to secure a podium.. baah

LottoNL is pathetic.
Roglic isn't going for the win, people have to accept different teams have different motives. A podium is still a great result.
They literally had nothing to lose by letting Kruijswijk react to Landa

Imagine how much more exciting this race would be if Thomas only had one, or even two, domestiques instead of five.

Only him or other teams too....?

why the **** is Lotto doing Sky's work for them ?

does Sir Dave get on the and offer cash for the support ?
Put yourself in the Lotto DS' shoes. You have a rider 6s off the podium. Now a rider, who isn't as good of a TTer, granted, but can still perhaps come good or gain more time, potentially a minute and half in front of you. Do you a) hope sky pull him back, even if he isn't a threat to the win unless he's 1 mins ahead or b) work and make sure he doesn't take your place. I'm surprised they're only working now.

And the Dutch commentators are soo happy with every tactical decision Kruijswijk and Roglic make. I swear Kruijswijk could stab one and receive praise from the other.

Sorry would've been too busy hanging by head in shame after the disaster that was the Tourmalet tactics.

Kruijswijk would've been in virtual 2nd, with maximum pressure on Sky.

Agreed; but they don't have him there. So now objectively the best thing to do is work.

They *** up earlier and are trying to salvage it now. Annoying but understandable

Sky has 2 people on the podium including the race leader , the onus is on them to pull the breakaway back and which will also help lotto .

all lotto is doing now is saving Sky's dom's when they could be saving there's by letting Sky burn themselves out

also wouldn't it be smarter to sit back and hopefully Froome has to work and maybe crack dropping down the standings ?

there's no upside to this for Lotto outside of maybe Sky offering cash for help

According to Thijs Zonneveld, Sagan and his Bora buddies usually try to make mountain stages fun by doing little descending matches, which is where it went wrong.

wasn't Sagan just behind the "GC group" when the accident happened? ... so there must have been quite some cars and traffic around ... would not be the safest place to do some antics - don't think even he would be that crazy ...
