Jani: two bruised knees.
Levi: seriously cranked wrist.
Horner: cranked back and neck
Kloden: Down twice.

Not a good day for RS.

These guys probably aren't professional cyclists. You don't become a pro if you can't stand more than a little pain, and constantly whine about nothing. Fact.

Facts are difficult things. He said he broke his wrist. But upon further review, it's a booboo and no doubt it hurts. Most pro-athletes play hurt much or all of the time. It's either win or find other employment.

My point is NOT that he is in pain. He IS. My point is that you don't say a word about it publicly other than, 'It's no big deal.' ....unless you have a defeatist mindset. I doubt he was always this way, but he sees the end coming with no gt wins. Participating in one is probably not much fun anymore for him.

That's a tough day at the office. And most of them aren't spring chickens. Laying the smack down on Tuesday is going to be harder with these ailments (the jostling caused by the cobbles will make most of the worse).

Looking forward to tomorrows stage.

Well, I don't get it? A rider has two tweets about pain and a possible injury after crashing and you complain in a three page message board thread about him complaining to much?

Yeah, it looks like you've analyzed that correctly! Good Job! Like one of the earlier posters mentioned, he should have shut up about the matter until it was resolved one way or another. Is he that caught up in tweeting that he feels obligated to lead his fellow twits along the negative path that his boo boo might be a broken wrist? There was no need for that.
And to go one step further, I agree with one of the other previous posts too, that he must not be enjoying being in GT's nowadays. At last years Giro, near the end of the Tour, he was miserable, and glad it was coming to an end. And he said so, on one of LA's daily videos. Then he crashed out of last years TdF. This year, after he missed his shot at his annual ToC, I'd just about guarantee that his head is hanging way low, knowing he is now just a Domestique for LA, in the current effort, and then this year is over. Too bad.

Do you even read this stuff before you post? This was Levi's tweet LAST YEAR when he had to abandon the TdF with a scaphoid fracture. He never said anything today, on Twitter or to the media, about having a broken wrist.

I think what wheels go round is saying that on the day he first posted (which if you look above his post says july 2009, levi leipheimer also hurt his wrist and tweeted about it and he finds it ironic that hes doing the same again

Hitch, I agree. But I'm amazed at how many folks immediately jumped on that and accused Leipheimer of whining/faking an injury. My comment was more for them than Wheels...

I'm lost. What the f*ck is this thread about again?

It's about nobody being worthy of the CN interwebz hate posse's admiration.

They're all whiners, dopers, wheel suckers, unexciting (only thing worse than a doper is someone who races like he's clean), too exciting (dopers), too fat, too skinny, a bully, too submissive, too old, too young, on and on.

Personally, I think anyone who is capable of riding in a GT is pretty admirable as a bike racer.

Ride it??? They don't actually ride it!! haven't you heard, they all have motors, thats why they are so fat.

The dog thing is ridiculous. I was at the start of the TT in the Tour of the Gila, and right by the starting chute, there was this guy with his dog on a long leash. I don't understand it. Do people not realize that the dog could have darted out and destroyed a guy like Levi's whole season?

no, the only thing worse than a doper is a doper who doesn't provide any excitement. If you're going to dope, at least have the common decency to be like Vino or Ally Vally and bring something to the races.

I wonder who that is directed at!

The dog was probably a Lance hater but got him mixed up with Levi..

Ha, ha, grrrrrrrrrrrr** :D

**Seems to be a lot of that on CN forums, whether right or wrong. Dog should speak to Hitch and become more of an agnostic (regarding cycling, that is).

**Maybe it detected one of Levi's pooches, LOL. Better yet, Birillo?? Where's UCI when we need 'em. The official UCI dog sniff test for all dopees, past dopees? Great big Saint Bernard to lift a leg on Cance's moto. We need some more dignity at this Grand Tour.
