Wow. If there is a discussion of course it will go on and on.

Amazing that it can't be discussed in my opinion. Wow just wow.

HA! Yes, it has. For about 30 years now!

Ah, well, the dog will chase his tail a while longer. Seems he never tires of it, although I fail to share the fascination.

Btw - chapeau. The thread is moderately readable now.

I wonder which was the greater American cyclist: Major Taylor, or Greg?

The clinic taught me that it was ok to like dopers as long as they weren't *******s or contributed to Lance's downfall. I'm confused now that LeMond may have acted like an ******* when he chased down Boyer. Ug, these damn clinic rules.

The clinic is not a single entity which communicates in a single voice.

Trying to whitewash opinions from many different posters in here as 'the clinic' is stupid.

You can destroy people with misinformation. That’s what Armstrong tried to do, and that’s what Trek tried to do. And it worked.

But what’s great is that it didn’t work in 90 percent of the world.

It was really organized. He did it as a team, it was a really organized deal, and unfortunately, I believe Armstrong has a fixation on me and that he has anger toward me that’s beyond normal

Nice interview with Greg. Good to see the truth prevail

if this is about lance and greg hating each other's guts, i don't think 'truth' is a useful variable.
if it's about armstrong doping, the truth prevailed ca. two years ago already.
and the truth didn't prevail in a broader sense: we were fed several untruthful affidavits, amongst others from guys still active in the peloton.

Perhaps you should actually read it.....

Thanks for proving my point.

The interview is filled with stuff about how great Lemond and his bikes are.

It also appears he has jumped on the "everything is now clean, speeds are down" bandwagon. I guess being anti doping doesnt make you money anymore. Now its all about cashing in on the new clean era.

Maybe he can write a book about sky too?

Did you just learn a new phrase? You've seemed very eager to use it in the last week.

The truth I was referring to was that Greg is not a bitter, crazy, loser. Trek and Lance worked hard to smear him.

If you actually read the interview you would see that is a small part of it. Given that you posted your usual caustic response only a couple minutes after I put up the link it is not surprising that you did not take the time to actually read the interview.

Looking at the data and the speeds of racing, they are within the realm of human performance."
'Within three or four years, the testing will be infallible'

As pointed out by Vayer, Science of Sport, Veloclinic, the first statement is absolutely not the case - unless we accept that lance was also within the realm....

Secondly, nice to know Greg knows we will soon have a test for all EPO derivatives and gene doping.

Digger stop being crazy!!! No one doped before Lance and no one has doped since he got busted and he was the only one doping. Anyone who now puts a performance that is similar to Armstrong's times is clean and it's down to hard work and evolution of the human race.

So Greg believes 6.4 w/kg is the new normal. Awesome!

Caustic? Lets not get carried away.

There was blatant advertising going on in the very first question. After that I gave up and skimmed the rest.

I take it you agree with the rest of my post since you ignored it?

Pretty hillarious that Lemond basically ignores everything that has happened the last 2-3 years. Thats the kind of stuff I would expect from Walsh or JV.

Lemond has lost all credibility on doping issues now.

And the reason I took the spot at Eurosport was to be a part of the new system, with [new UCI president] Brian Cookson coming in

Translation: I wanted to make some money on the new clean era.
