Another bad day for Van Eetvelt. Maybe he's sick
thanks for that Samamba. It might be a different respiratory problem than Corona. He has a lot of fight in him.He can't breath when he's doing an effort. Out of breath immediately. His legs are good, off the bike he feels completely fine, but when it goes hard his lungs don't want to follow. You would think, ok this guy has covid but his test this morning was negative. I expect it to be positive tomorrow tho. He doesn't want to quit ("I didn't try to finish for no reason today") but if he's positive or gets more symptoms the team will definitely take him out.

'Is down'; that is a new English expression for me ;-). I first thought you meant he wasn't going to race....Lenny VE is down for Il Lombarida and Guangxi, so hopefully he's recovered.
It’s not new but I haven’t heard it much lately: “dude, Are you down for the party this weekend.”'Is down'; that is a new English expression for me ;-). I first thought you meant he wasn't going to race....
Can we also say "are you up for the party tonight?"It’s not new but I haven’t heard it much lately: “dude, Are you down for the party this weekend.”
I am happy to have reached the finish line. As I said at the start today I did not have my best condition. At the beginning of the race I had a bit of nausea and some trouble eating and as a result I ate little. After 3-4 hours of riding I was fine, but after 5-6 hours I felt the difficulties. I thought about keeping my pace uphill and then seeing what would happen, but when Tadej attacked I could only try to follow Remco, for myself but also for people at home to show off.
But in the end you managed to hold up despite the difficulties you told us about
Yes, honestly I was surprised, I was scared from the last climb since I had very strong cramps in my legs. I am happy with my result.
Hopefully Lotto can hold on to him. Bright future.Good performance back from illness from Lenny VE - despite stomach problems at Lombardia

Winning as a favorite in WT race as favorite is a next step as well.

I use the procyclingstats.com game as reference; he was the most selected for the GC.Am I right in guessing he was a favourite?
(Couldn't decide between "Winning as a favorite in a WT race" and "Winning in a WT race as a favorite", so decided to just do both?)
