actually you're wrong.rebellin made the top 5 in ten races or so after comeback.it's a fact that after 2 years ban you won't reach the same level after 6 months(vino,di luca, now dekker).rebellin did very good and i'm curious to see if geox or astana will get him for next year(those were the rumours back in april)

It may not matter if Geox get's HTC's WT licence, but you don't think having a guy like Rebellin in their team may hinder their chances of getting an invite to the big races?

I hope so, I hate Rebellin :p Although I'd like to see Felline again in the cobbled classics

no fan of rebellin either but the guy has shiitload of class and that it is since '96,you can't be like that just because of medical assistance, you have to be something special.and let's not forget he's almost 40 years old.he's also pretty very rich,he just rides because that's his life.di luca found a big team, dekker found it too no doubt that if geox will take him, there will be no problems with the uci.

The funny thing is that it was his first actual race, apart from some crits and the nationals TT. And he had a cold. Let the hype recommence! ;)

Rebellin got hit with a demand for €6.3million from the Italian finance police, who claimed he was resident of Tuscany for the duration of his career and not Monaco as he claimed.

It might be the reason for his continued pedal pushing.

6millions would be for tax evasion; it means he earned MUCH more than that.
I dont really think he's cycling just for pay the tax but more for the fun of it.

edit: he's supposed to live in Veneto, not Tuscany.

yes but did you really read how weak is the case against him?the cops said they've heard something from the postman and some of his neighbours that he's in italy more than in monaco.lol good luck with that in a court.

and yes he's not riding for miche for the love of money,he has enough.but i think he might sign with geox or farnese for 2012 if he still can ride like that.

They were talking about Monaco's cars both from his wife and his own one being in Italy most of the time.
I donno how does it work exactly but I think he has to prove not to be in Italy most of the time (which according to the reports he couldnt).
Enought OT. :D

Mi-Aout Bretonne (Fra, 2.2)

Stage 1:

1. Kai Reus

The Giant is back.

That was good to hear.

Mark McNally, a young English rider on the An Post Sean Kelly team, won the GC. That's his biggest win to date.

2nd stage was won by a 5-man breakaway. Indulis Bekmanis of Latvia won it and claimed the overall lead aswell. Estonian RR Champ Ojavee was 3rd in the stage and is 2nd overall.

Rumsas was also in the break btw, was 4th in the end.

He is in really good shape right now. He beat Nibali in the TVV a couple of days ago, so he is obviously doing quite well.

I'd like to see him get to a sprint with Gilbert in Liege and then dust him! Or I at least want someone who can actually match Gilbert to make it more exciting.

Good to see some of the young italians do well: Ratto, Battaglin and Santoro all up there. I'm especially glad to see Ratto do well. Haven't seen him that much this year but he has actually done quite well in a couple of races.
