so Casper fails to score the first win for Ag2R this year. After winning the race for 4 times in the past i guess.

No one from that team has come even close to winning something except for Cherel in Catalunya. Not even in the small French races. Cofidis, FDJ and Europcar pick up the good ones and all AG2R can do is Casper

As far as I have understood that is indeed the plan. They are planning to make a real train for him with cantwell, Lucas and Morkov as main leadouts. Sadly Cantwells injury will probably rule him out for the Giro and after a tough spring campain Morkov is not scheduled for the Giro either. But I am sure JJ and Saxo will be super motivated for the 1st flat stages in Denmark.

Saur is having a good season as well. Better than cofidis and ag2r and maybe europcar too.
For ag2r, if you look at the 2012 team cqranking, they are well placed, better than many other WT teams that have already won, because it's the team that usually targets GC in stage races.

Tour du Finistère, 1.1

1. Julien Simon (SAU)
2. Samuel Dumoulin (COF)
3. Jonathan McEvoy (EDR)

Break got caught with 900m to go. Excellent form for Simon at the moment.

That's very good for Simon. He'sa very promising talent. He got his confidence back in the Volta.

Danes have been great as juniors and U23 riders for a decade without ever breaking through as pros. Remember Martin Pedersen, Rasmus Guldhammer (both former winners of LBL U23), Thomas Vedel Kvist etc. - they never really got off the ground on the pro circuit.

Gediminas Bagdonas (An Post Sean Kelly) won the Ronde van Noord-Holland (1.2). He broke away from a select group with 19km to go and rode home solo. He's had some podium finishes recently, most notably in the Rund um Koln, but this is his first win of the season. Jeff Vermeulen (Metec Continental) won the sprint for second, with Sam Bennett (An Post) in third.

I gather that there were high winds and the An Post, Metec and Rabo CT teams between them smashed up the peloton early. Those three teams had eleven men in the select group of 22.
