Degenkolb was allowed to start this? I thought if you withdraw from a race, then you couldn't start another race for the duration of the race you left. Or is there a difference between leaving a race "just because", and leaving because you got sick?

Timoty Dupont won the Memorial Briek Schotte (My second favorite ever cyclist), but more impressively he won it while being bitten by a bee in the tongue.
