That was Valverdesque. Reenactment of Plumelec 08 with amateur actors. :D
He went way too soon. Shoulda waited and motorcycled ahead in the last 200 metres, a Valverde especial.

Guillaume Martin won the day for Wanty ahead of teammate Jerome Baugnies after a tremendous ride in the break.

Vuillermoz won the race overall against Gesbert thanks to the bonis along the road. For less than a second.

No one ever called this race like that. It was always Veenendaal-Veenendaal.

I wish you were right, but I was so sad to see it called that just the other day.

Jérôme Baugnies won his third consecutive Druivenkoers Overijse yesterday. Johan Museeuw and Sergei Ivanov both won it two years in a row, but now Baugnies moves into third on the winners list - joint first are Roger de Vlaeminck and Björn Leukemans, who won it a remarkable four years in a row.

Mads Pedersen won the 20.6km ITT in the Tour du Poitou Charentes (2.1) yesterday, 26 seconds ahead of Castroviejo. Not a bad ride at all, I think. Going into the final day of the race he now leads the GC with a 35 second bonus.

Mads Pedersen takes the overall. Great result from a young rider. Amazing TT, especially for an all-rounder.

I'm sorry there wasn't more attention given to Schaal Sels. Taco van der Hoorn beat defending champion Wout van Aert and Tim Merlier.
