Philipsen rode the fastest sprint, but he had to come from too far behind. It was a very nervous final, with a big crash. So obviously not a "normal" finish.Zinoviev Letter said:Who on earth is Cees Bol and how the hell did he beat Ackermann and co in a sprint?
I haven’t seen the race yet, but the late crash sounds awful. Hopefully all involved are ok.
Indeed. It were the riders in front of him that got dropped and he constantly had to close the gaps. The goal of him riding in a race like this, was exactly that: to get a hang of a nervous race with lots of twisting and turning. Mission accomplished i think, especially as he had done his job for the team in front of the peloton by then.Bardamu said:That can't be. Shoulder, elbow and pelvis... apparently.Dekker_Tifosi said:**** immensely disappointed that MvdP is now probably out of the spring thanks to Max Walscheid. Always a danger those lead outs...
And Ackermann is so out of shape this spring. He's being beaten by everyone now. Kudo's to Cees Bol though

This Google translation of the local press: Floris Gerts (Tarteletto-Isorex) also fell and stayed on the cobblestones of Nokereberg for a long time. “He was bleeding from his ear and had a split left eyebrow. His father, who is a doctor, joined the ambulance. I hope that everything will be fine with Floris, "said sports director Peter Bauwens.Scarponi said:Any news on the poor fellow in yellow ?
Zinoviev Letter said:Very limited sprinting field for this one. DQS are actually providing two of the three properly fast guys in the race, with both Hideg and Jakobsen in their lineup for some reason. After them and Ackermann, there is Mareczko I suppose and then we are talking about guys like Blythe.
