Looked at the route details earlier. I seem to remember it was 250-300m in altitude gain km the last 3k, so pretty steep.

Hmm, 250m gain in 4.5km. So 5.5% if i'm not mistaking. And more or less flat for the first 11.5km. Still feels slow to me.

La Tropicale Amissa Bongo 2020 Stage 1 from Bitam to Ebolowa was won by Attilio Viviani before Lorrenzo Manzin and Biniam Girmay. Attilio Viviani was leading the general classification.

What is really annoying, is that every tweet or mention in an article about Ghirmay has to refer to being "one of the only riders to beat Evenepoel in the juniors". They guy already beat big names in sprints last year and was a big talent in his own right (he's quite all-rounded as well). I hope for his sake people will start to remember him for more than that time he beat Evenepoel in a 1 v 1 sprint (which your grandma would have won against Evenepoel). I think he has a lot of potential, because he also seems to get over hilly terrain with ease, and obviously has quite a bit of punch at the finish.

That's true. He hanged on for dear life during that entire stage and just had enough left in the tank to come around him in the final meters. However, hanging on to Remco was in fact a stunt on its own back then.
