Carr might consider playing games because Marijn van den Berg - the brother of his breakaway companion - is still there in the peloton. Will be close either way.

I've seen enough, Corbin to the Tour.
Oh no, please don't do that to the young man. Finishing 5th-10th on the flat sprint stages, and getting walloped by MVDP etc on the lumpier ones. They've got Nizzolo for that..

Wallonie should be an ideal race for him to get in shape for The Worlds?

Lol Superman Lopez at 4000metres altitude climbing against the Asian peloton
For what we know the Chinese teams could sign some random Sputniks for this race (Frolov or bust!) and the climbing performances of some of the Western (and Australian) guys on the bigger Asian PCT teams are pretty good.

That said, it would be a lot more fun if the Iranian teams were still what they used to be...

It's already started. Hengxiang have signed Maris Bogdanovics from Latvia (they already have long-time China-based Anris Vosekalns); Li Ning Star have a random Briton, a couple of Belarusians and have signed Roniel Campos; Pingtan Tourism Island have signed long time Gazprom-RusVelo man Roman Maikin; and Yunnan Lvshan Landscape have signed three Colombians, Óscar Pachón, Steven Cuesta and Néstor Rueda.

What do you think Lyu Xianjing can do? He seems to have finally recovered this year some of the level he showed in 2019 and that was lost during the pandemic period.

If Tachira Campos shows up things could get interesting...
He's already training at high altitude in China, so it really shouldn't be a problem for him. Still, it would be nice if Rikunov and Froolov would also race this one to mix things up.

Atem Nych ended up a Glassdrive-Q8 and is probably gonna light up the Volta.

Stage finished at 3234m today, some proper altitude. What’s the highest they’re ever went in a GT?
Stelvio at around 2750m, I think. Rettenbachferner is a bit higher, but they only ever did it in the Tour de Suisse, as far as I can remember.

Breaking news: Superman won. Solo this time.
Meh, on the final 12.13kms (and the final 22,6kms) he was 40sec slower than Yesid Pira on exactly the same stage in 2021. Now if only Pira could replicate his performances in Europe, that would be nice...
