Meh, on the final 12.13kms (and the final 22,6kms) he was 40sec slower than Yesid Pira on exactly the same stage in 2021. Now if only Pira could replicate his performances in Europe, that would be nice...
I was already gonna say I was underwhelmed by the time gap.

But Pira didn’t also win 3 of the previous stages and finish second on the other. MAL should finish top 10 min every stage as long as no breakaway stays away.

Who is Estiben Pena anyway and why isn't he on a bigger team?

Like he might be getting dropped by Superman every stage but he's still a handy climber clearly

Unless there is a bit of a subtext to this race like in Portugal? ('Who's this Alaracon kid!'). Still enjoying it anyway look at all the fans.

Raced for Polartec Kometa but didn't do well for whatever reasons. Very similar background to Egan Bernal as MTB rider, also, same hometown.
