Tour of Leuven - Memorial Jef Scherens - today! Nice and sunny weather in the morning, starting to cloud over a bit now, 25°C.

Went out on the bike for errands a couple of hours ago. Many car drivers very confused by the barriers/detours and some decided that driving on, but on the sidewalk, right in front of the police was the answer.

Looking forward to the Wijnperstraat and the Karmelieterberg!

Someone sign the boy Lukáš Kubiš he actually looks quite good, though I know nothing about the Slovak conti scene, maybe there's Portugal-style reasons or something.

he entered the Czech scene this year, and no one signed Otruba either after a stellar 2023.

Interesting that Astana Devo is allowed to line up a WT stagiaire, by the way. Never knew the rules would include this.

I guess any sort of contract with the main team makes riders eligible to ride for the devo team?

Another interesting part about this is that Lev Gonov is actually a stagiare with the devo team. If they planned to have Ivan Smirnov in the same races, why not just make him a stagiare with the devo team too instead of with the main team? Or I guess it doesn't matter. Gonov can probably be a 'guest' rider for the main team as a devo stagiare too, if they want that.

Best racing of today is happening at the Tour of Leuven where it's all kicking off. Van Gils and Abrahamsen bridged to the early breakaway, and people are attacking like mad in the peloton. And I'm watching a feed with zero commentary, which is really nice actually.

The better Cepeda wins stage two of Limousin. Would do well at the Vuelta, alas, Caja Rural was not selected for the race.

Tour du Limousin - stage 3 - Chapeau Alverio Cepeda & Caja! Went from 10 km out and took the win. Aulur took second to round off a good day for Caja.

Abrahamsen, Hoelgaard, Gelders and Teunissen with a decent gap. Clearly the four strongest in the breakaway. Gap to peloton has been stuck at 25 seconds for ages now.

This might be a huge tactical mistake by UNO X. Teunissen beats Hoelgaard in a sprint normally ofcourse.
Think he can get rid of him on one of the climbs. Hoelgaard has seemed super strong.

You're right about the gap. Strong attack from Segaert in the peloton, but nobody wants to cooperate. Which is a bit strange.
