It was really something to see Jasper look across at Cav when they were neck & neck. I presumed he was demoralised by this that he just couldn't give his all at the final moment which allowed Cav to persevere at the end. Jasper must be thankful he no longer has to cope with Cav in a sprint finish.

The north of Portugal has a lot of cobbles. I wonder if they'll include some on the route?

There is a lot of that, even in some long climbs.

You should see the stage of senhora da graça at the Volta a Portugal, where they usually climb the Alto de barreiro before the final climb to senhora da Graça.

Alto de barreiro have a hard final steep kms in cobbles between old houses, the scenario is beautiful.
