Congrats to Vine on the win - a boost to his confidence after the terrible injuries. Nothing definitely upcoming according to PCS.

Not sure by what metric this is a bad time by Kuss? It's a super fast ITT and he loses only just over 1 second per minute to the likes of Arensman and Tiberi.
Don't think anybody said it was bad? Except me when I believed the first time that PCS had up, which was him losing the jersey to Poole by 20 seconds or so. What he actually did was pretty much as most people expected, I think.

Break can still win, 54 seconds to the peloton, 30s to the counter-move with 10k to go, seems to be going out a little, come on Gamper/Leonard.

No time gaps or heroics at the end in regards to GC, well done Sepp Kuss.
I'm not sure what it means for his Vuelta chances with two time trials to bookend that race.

Deja vu all over again at Burgos - first 3 on stage 1 the same on stage 5 ... :) GC Kuss is back with a win - chapeau!

Edit - I see PCS has changed stage 5 result to Parisini in 2nd place and not his teammate Nizzolo so not quite exactly the same.

Well, if you liked the San Sebastian race, we're doing it all over again (without UAE) at
Circuito de Getxo - Memorial Hermanos Otxoa 196.5 km (1.1 - the only races worth watching) start at 12.00 CET TV from the beginning in Spanish, or in English from 15.00 CET

Favs? Lenny VE & van Gils, 2 Izigarres, Ciccone, Champoussin & quite a few more depending on the legs on the day.

Scrub Lenny VE from the startlist at Getxo - not surprisingly after San Sebastian. (Ciccone scrubbed too from Trek, but Lopez is still down to start) Lots of CT teams at Getxo so chances for riders to make a name for themselves.

Strange for UAE to not be riding this race. Typical farming grounds for Ulissi, Hirschi, Morgado, Christen & co.

They've got teams at Poland, Denmark and of course the Vuelta next week and the 3 races overlap so missing one one day 1.1 race in Spain (after doing San Sebastain) is not such a big surprise looking at their schedule.

Otoh, them doing Denmark was quite a surprise. They weren't scheduled to do so initially, then suddenly: "UAE is coming!"
(Looking at the newest preliminary startlist, it looks like Bingoal dropped out and there was a free spot available.)

I quite like Uno-X's lineup for Denmark. For ToN and ARN, they brought a bunch of Norwegians, and one Dane. Now, they're bringing a bunch of Danes, and one Norwegian.

It's not just in Spain they're racing today. La Polynormande will be live from around 3:30 PM.

I guess the Tour of Denmark is even better for farming. Win the TTT and have 3-4 guys in the top 10.

I think it was planned for Wärenskjold do be doing Denmark, but he's not on the startlist anymore. Quite a big loss for Uno-X in the TTT I would say.

I doubt the peleton will bring back this strong breakaway at Polynormandie. Strange to see Lapierre in the break.
