Tim Torn Teutenberg finished third.
Am I the only one who's surprised?
He has a decent sprint and it wasnt the best field here.

A lot of older sprinters and has-beens, no offense to some of the riders but it is what it is.

While TTT is a rider who is moving up and still developing. Good result for him.

Chapeau Groenewegen who won as expected. The TV coverage I'm putting forward as a contender for "worst coverage in 2024". 21 year old TTT getting third a good sign for Trek. UAE's 18 year olds got a good run out and are provisonally down for tomorrow's race too.

Burgos, Polti and Caja Rural all helped in the last 100kms.

Astana literally chased all day long with Jayco.

Jayco was doing the lions share of the work - Even the cycling news report states that Astana helped Jayco and then when the break was caught with 15kms to go all the teams prepared their sprint train.

We're under way in Spain with another of the UAE teens, Marivoet, in the break with 2 others. They have almost 6 minutes on the peloton according to PCS with 115 km to go.
Lidl-Trek have sent their devo team which gives some more youngsters a chance.

That the women are already there is just as relevant to this thread as whether or not MTB riders are there.

Except it's still road racing.
You want to separate road racing discussion into three different sub-forums; one for generic stuff, one for the men, and one for the women?
That's too much work.
