They said it was hot Down Under, but this final reached way over 100 degrees Ferronheit. Nice Cofidis debut for him and fine first elite race for Seixas in general. Just a shame I was watching a stream which was 4 km behind.

Four Spanish riders in the top 10 here, but none on Mallorca.

First the lead group throws away the win by begrudging each other toothache. Then Van Hemelen kinda takes the white stripe instead of the finish line.

Strong performance by Seixas! Still finished 5th beating Laurence. He might have actually won the race if the group had made it to the finish. After assisting in initiating the group and working quite a lot in the breakaway then. Impressive debut!

Ewan is a risk, but maybe the change of scenery will do him some good? (Not sure about Ineos in general right now though, hopefully he'll do them some good.)
It's just replacing Viviani with another failing sprinter, for absolutely no reason other than that's what they've they've always done. They need to change their calendar to make the most of what their team is now. Not waste resources on someone occasionally finishing 3rd in a 2.1

Sensing a pro debut for Hector Alvarez tomorrow in Murcia. Also the very first of many times it'll be the mythical duo Pericas and Alvarez on pro level. In a few days it'll be the mythical quartet in Jaen, when Hodei Munoz and Marc Zafra join the party.

They have a Sprint Luis León Sánchez and a Cima Pantani?

Hmm, if only there had been another local cycling star to Murcia....

It's kicking off, a bit late on the climb.

Del Toro and Berthet attack first, then Wellens and Scaroni try to bridge across.

EDIT: PCS says that the latter two were caught again, and now APP, Jegat and Champoussin make a move.

EDIT2: Quintana is alive and on the attack!!!
