Buitrago did everything wrong there, didn't seem to know where the finish was.
Yeah, just watched the replay. Whoever is as in front going into the final turn before the line was likely to win. Sort of like getting in front before the final turn in Strade Bianchi.
I also thought Bahrain would do more one-two kind of attacking in the final km, forcing Scarponi to chase each one. Maybe Buitrago was a bit overconfident he would take the sprint?

Tour du Rwanda, stages 3,4 & 5 rather close to the war zone. Not many (none) of the big names showing up.

Looking like an immediate first pro victory for Taillieu. I think he got a bit overshadowed after he crashed in the Europeans TT. I would rate him higher than Schoofs and Van Kerckhove in that regard, and thus missed out on potential medals that would have put him more in the limelight.

He's a better Time Trialist than those 2. Rwanda this year does have an horrendous start list tho. Not that that means this isn't a great win immediately for someone so young.

Lappartient turned up for the opening, hearing they declined a route alteration hence the depleted startlist, having a stage finish in Rubavu is ambitious, look forward to it
