I am interested in how the sprint plays out today. Yesterdays sprint final was strange. Van Poppel and Oliveira were one.two into the final corner with Welsford and Molano nowhere to be seen. Bahrain controlled most of the last 3kms with Bauhaus nowhere, while Groenewegen was the only one who stayed with his leadout before being dropped off in the last 500 metres.
 
Really pleased for Askey. Was beginning to look like a rider who could only put it together for one or two races each season, and was maybe a little low down the FDJ hierarchy. But has already had a couple of consistent periods of form this season, with some great results.

Ineos should be all over him with the imminent Total merger.
