Final time trial is only 3.3 km ? ? ?
With a lead of 1'06" I think Riccitello should be able to hang on for the GC win.

I didn't think Silva and Caicedo would hang on, but they did. A reasonable number of spectators, but an overabundance of crowd control!

Not sure about all spectators being entirely voluntary. I can easily see an employer encouaring everybody to go out at 4:30pm and get a bit of exercise.

If we assume the profiles being metric, all of the stages operate above 2000 meters. A couple of climbs tops close to 4000m. Thin air all the way.

China: Stage 3

Two rider in front with about 1 min to peloton. Two other riders inbetween. Probably a bunch sprint coming up, but its been about 3000m of climbing and the stage is 220km, so anything can happen.

30km to go.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised Salby made it over the climbs.
I thought he had a reputation of being a bit of a, well, Danish Mareczko.
Including with his climbing skills... or lack of same.

What's the story behind Martin Pedersen (27!) riding for Lild-Trek dev team? Starts in Tour of Austria tomorrow.

He stopped riding for a while and then started back up again at the team that Mads owns and then ended up getting a contract with the team that owns Mads.

In other words; he's Mads' Lidl brother.

Coop will be wearing numbers 172-178 in Austria. 171 is for Drege.
No really windy downhills this year, but I hope that they will now longer give really deep wheels that are vulnerable to gusts of wind to their riders on mountain stages.
