Red Bull needs to stop that 2nd group and just work together with Q36.5 in the 3rd one, Q36.5 has 5 guys there, Red Bull 4 (plus 2 in the chasing group)

Well Q36.5 thinks it's smart to only sacrifice 1 guy in that peloton so nvm

Got your wish, it seems like. So Wellens isn't completely gone yet.

Interesting group behind Wellens, but there's 2 UAE's in so they are just not catching Wellens like that. Best shot is probably some teams like Q36.5, Red Bull and Movistar working together as a bigger group
It seems that Red Bull, despite having 4 riders, is content to let others try.

This is Wellens in February, good luck to everyone else
Wellens have improved to next lvl. What he did to Remco in belgian nc and summer in general was seriously impressive last year.

Theres still alooot of km to go tho with several guys who should have shared interest, RBH have several good guys here, Pidcock will eventually jump, many km to go this shouldnt be over imo

You have 6 Pinarello guys and 4 Red Bulls and only one guy is properly riding

And then you also have Movistar in a Spanish race just absolutely doing nothing. If Wellens wins this they should all be stripped of their UCI license.

A group of 30 and only Donovan pulling. It's absurd.

4 Movistar in the group for doing nothing.

Still a long way to go, Wellens could still crack (I wouldn't bet on it but it's possible), but these tactics are just weird.

even if you don't think you can beat other riders, you'll still finish 1 place above because you catch Wellens.

Its amazing that cycling still isn't professional in 2026.

Pidcock needs to go solo; it's a waste of time to stay in the group if only one of his five teammates is pulling.

Movistar's approach is the height of complacency. With four riders in a home race, they're just riding in the group.

It’s over if they don’t make a G2 group with a couple strong riders now on this sterrato. Don’t see it happening.

Gianetti will stop at nothing to win races, no doubt the peloton is under the spell of some kind of occultist dark magic, the only explanation for the tactics.

Q36.5 trying to be like one of those 5 leader teams “saving guys” but using only pro conti guys+Pidicock. Where is Fred he would’ve pulled a lot of it back then DNFed like you’re supposed to.

How have the other teams let this happen??
Accommodation. Let Q36.5 do all the work, although Movistar should sacrifice Romeo for Adria and Red Bull should sacrifice Pellizari for Van Gils.

Why do they want to go all the way with their riders? Sacrifice some for the best rider on your team.
