Here's a live ticker for Giro dell'Emilia, although the race has lost a lot of it's charm, which saddens me a lot. The race has such a big history, but even Italian powerhouses like Nibali and Aru rather go racing somewhere in the desert.
It's a shame yes. It's a great race with lots of action. Looks like Bakelants wins this one.

Yes, the starlist has been very poor in the last 2 years. Unitl 2013 there were many WT teams and big winners like Quintana, Ulissi, Betancur, Gesink... ( and also live tv coverage)

Good news is that UCI is interested in promoting the race to WT level, maybe in 2016 more likely in 2017.

Subsaharan Africa has a new race, with the first edition of Volta a Angola having started on the 7th of October, and going until the 18th. The 10 stages and 1,117 km across Angola (Cuito, Huambo, Benguela, Cuanza Sul, Cuanza Norte, Malanje, Uíge, Bengo and Luanda) are in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the country's independance, celebrated next month. The first edition of Volta a Angola sees cyclists from the host country compete with their colleagues from São Tomé and Príncipe, Mozambique, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Congo Brazzaville, South Africa, Portugal and France. There are contradicting reports concerning the size of the peloton. Older articles speak of close to 500 riders, newer ones of close to 200, and the most recent speak of less than 100.

Thanks Christian! Missed this news. Unfortunately there are no profiles, right? My mother is from Longonjo in the Huambo province, nice to see they're going near there.

The first stage of the inaugural Volta a Angola between Bié and Huambo (160 km) was dominated by the local Benfica de Luanda team, which managed a clean sweep of the podium:

1. SILVA Igor (160km in 3h 46min) (ANG, Benfica de Luanda)
2. ANTONIO Dario (ANG, Benfica de Luanda)
3. DE CARVALHO Mario (ANG, Benfica de Luanda)

Igor Silva (1984) is an experienced rider who has dominated the Angolan RR and ITT national championships for the past six years. In the last two years, he spent short stints at the Portuguese Banco BIC - Carmim continental team. He als has a sixth place overall in the Tour du Faso to his palmarès (2005).

Like Silva, Antonio and Carvalho have also had short stints at the Banco BIC - Carmim team. Antonio has finished on the podium of the Angolan RR & IT NC's several times, and has participated in the Volta a Portugal and the Volta ao Algarve. Carvalho finished 3rd of last year's ITT NC's and has participated in the Volta ao Algarve. They are both very young riders, having been born in 1992 (Antonio) and 1995 (Carvalho), respectively.

This article speaks of 91 riders divided up into 13 teams. Near the finish of the stage, the athletes were welcomed by a big crowd, as well as the local gouvernor, Kundi Paihama.

Benfica de Luanda continues to dominate Volta a Angola

After their clean sweep of the first stage, Benfica de Luanda and its leader Igor Silva have gone on to dominate stages 2 through 4. While Silva was able to win stage 2, the Benfica de Luanda squad also dominated the TTT on stage three. On stage four, young Dario Antonio was able to raise his arms in victory, while his team mate and race leader, the inevitable Igor Silva, finished on the second step of the podium.

A noteable effort was given by the santomean rider Ednei Nascimento, who attempted to break away on stage four, but was accompanied by a mini-peloton of four (!) Benfica de Luanda riders. He was finally vanquished by Luanda's collective power, but still finished fifth on the stage.

The tiny island nation of São Tomé and Príncipe is represented by the riders from the Mucumbli club. The team currently sits in second-to-last position in the team ranking, in front of the Cape Verde/Mozambique mixed team.

During the TTT on stage three, the Mucumbli club finished in second-to-last place yet again, covering the 30km in 39:01 minutes. However, the team was not disappointed with their performance, as team leader Edjemer Amado explains: "We did the second slowest time, but we are satisfied with the rythm that we presented during the race. The race only now really starts for us, since we had to adapt until now. The next few stages have a parcours very similar to what we know, with a lot of up and down. We have some climbers in our team, and hope to achieve better results in those stages".

It seems Amado was right, as just the following day his team mate Nascimento was able to escape with four Benfica de Luanda riders, and finished fifth on stage 4. It seems there were 73 riders left at the start of stage 4.
The race organization treats foreign riders very well, even lodging them in 5 star hotels.

And also the Europe Tour

What a weird season for him. 11 wins plus the Europe Tour, but pretty much no wins where he beat any fast sprinters. This year's undisputed king of the shitty small race.

Let's reserve that title for Marko Kump. 18 wins and none of them in races as big as Bouhanni's smallest wins :p

The Porec and Umag trophies, a stage of the Istrian Spring Trophy, the GP Adria Mobil, the Beograd-Banja Luka, a stage of the Tour of Croatia, another at the Tour d'Azerbaijan, two stages plus the overall at the Malopolska Tour, a stage in Slovenia, 5(!!) stages at Qinghai Lake, the Croatia-Slovenia one day race and the Velothon Stockholm

EDIT: Make that 20 wins. Turns out Qinghai Lake and Azerbaijan have points classifications and he won them.

Bialoblocki really showing great TT form at the end of this season. 9th in the WC and now second at the Chrono des Nations. Not bad at all for a 32 year old who has been knocking around the British domestic scene for years and is only next year getting his first ever ride at ProConti level.

Nice to hear. I keep hoping that one day he will start gambling to win rather than consistently racking up placings. It's a pity that it's the end of the season if he has this kind of form.

I think we should all take a moment to appreciate what has happened in the Tour of Taihu lake.

Jakub Mareczko, the 21 year old Polish-born Italian sprinter who rides for Southeast, has possibly won the 'most dominant performance in a stage race' award for 2015. He has won: Stages 1, 2, 3 and Stages 6,7,8,9 as well as leading the GC start to finish, naturally winning the points classification and of course the youth classification.

The Tour of Mareczko Lake IMO is the most dominant performance in a stage race by a single rider this year, any others spring to mind?

Ewan in Korea about the same he won 5 out of 8 + GC, points and youth, field was a little stronger (still not strong) but he won less then Mareczko did.
