Yes and because of that Vernon lost the green jersey to Haest the stage winner.

Thank you. Not the first time that's happened this year and I think the experiment of using him as a sprinter hasn't worked. Really interested to see how he does in the classics next season though, and he already looks like a good prologue rider.

Van Wilder on Strava thursday:

Change of plans —-> zaterdag Primus Classic
Paniektraining
(panic training)

Evenepoel reacted:
Moest ik van u zijn, gene paniek nodig |spanish flag icon| + |rocket icon|
(If i were you, i wouldn't panic)
If Remco would fly like Ilan now
Van Wilder could go for top 5-7 at the WC TT in this form

In any other year this break would be gone now. But now with EF, MOvistar and BEX just not wanting this break to win (they don't need to win themselves they just don't want Lotto or Cofidis to take points)...

Yes it's definitely not 'normal', where the peleton would have sat up by now. But honestly, I can't decide if this is making the race worse or better.

Van Belleghem on Eurosport doesn't seem to understand why teams on the brink of relegation are chasing.

Ah another commentator/journalist that keeps talking about UCI points but still doesn't understand it at all.

That being said, this is just straight up weird imo. I don't like it although i get why a neutral cycling fan would kind of be entertained.

Demare, Kristoff, De Lie, Philipsen, Meeus, Van den Berg, Kanter, Consonni all still there. Basically only Jakobsen and Groenewegen didn't survive.
