Gaia Realini is just finding new ways to excite. She really is the new Emma Pooley, she's super tiny, super aggressive, super good at going up mountains, and super appalling at coming back down them again. Italian race routes are about to get great it seems.

Also really pleased for Stiasny, she hadn't really been showing her best at this race, but cometh the pure climbing, cometh the lady. I rate her - and she climbed from 17th to 5th overall today, pretty much purely on the mountain stage. Feels like Fenix is an odd team for her to be on with her skillset, with it being primarily cyclocrossers and classics riders. Wonder if the Canyon connection will see her find her way to either Canyon-SRAM or Movistar?

Cadzow is having an interesting race. She's still with the peloton despite being dropped more than Froome has been this season.

catch the rider in front first, then you can faff around
I thought you were meaning when Moolman and Reusser made moves because Balsamo followed both. Lippert was already long since brought back on my stream when you posted that.

Either way, SD Worx gonna win even when they don't hold all the cards. Great sprint by Bredewold.

It's a matter of time before Roseman-Gannon wins a race in Europe - Her sprint is improving and if Jayco put her in the right race then a win will come.

Yup. Jayco do seem to have a problem getting their riders in a good position for the final sprint. Manley for example has a rocket sprint but she always has to start from around 40th. Ruby probably needs a uphill drag if she's to win from a bunch.

On a different subject, Kerbaol had to give up a top 10 at Avenir for this race.

Manly's form has not been as good as expected and she was in the second group today - If she's in the first group she probably wins that sprint.

Chiara Consonni won the 6th Belgian one-day race of her career at the Grote Prijs Beerens ahead of Martina Fidanza and Sofie van Rooijen.

So it's time for the Simac Ladies Tour tomorrow, which will mark the final stop on Annemiek van Vleuten's farewell tour. She had her stage race debut there 16 years ago, but let's hope she doesn't crash out on the first stage like she did on that occasion.

The race starts off with the usual prologue, which will be followed by a flat stage. Stage 2 is a time trial in Leuven across the border, but in contrast to recent editions it only has a length of 7 km. Stage 3 is another flat stage, although this profile from FC makes it look rather difficult at first glance.

Stage 4 is the queen stage, which will see the riders tackle 2.5 half laps on the Amstel Gold race circuit, with a finish at the top of Cauberg. The last stage to Arnhem usually ends in some kind of sprint.

Van Vleuten has won the race twice in her career, but with SD Worx bringing a team with Vollering, Kopecky, Wiebes and Bredewold, they'll probably win all the stages this time around.

How can you justify a Prologue and an ITT in a four stage race - No certainties that SD Worx will win all four stages can throw up funny results.

It was on my demand so I can watch them all in the Leuven TT.
Was about to go for a ride, Leuven is only 10km for me and practically my 2nd home (went to school there).
They are doing a hill from the WC, that’s my place to watch. It’s in the shadow and we have 31° the next days.

I’m gonna go early and try to ride some laps, if they let us.

It's like 2 prologues in 3 days. There's no excuse for it. Possible even a worse idea than the men's Romandie 2 ITTs.

Hadn't realised it was going to be Zoe Bs first race for Canyon SRAM, 9th not a bad start on an unfamiliar bike setup & team surroundings with such a tricky technical prologue stage.

A perfect course for a cyclocrosser, one would assume. Even if she's not the most technical among crossers.
