Maëva Squiban (another French woman who wears glasses) won the ITT in Ardèche. Apparently she tried to bridge across to the front group alone on stage 1, but was slowed down by a puncture, and it took a while for her to get a new wheel, so it's not a surprise her shape is still quite good.

De Jong increased her lead as expected, but Bunel might still be the strongest climber in the race, and Arkéa has the strongest team, so nothing is decided yet.

She also started her sprint early, so I don't think it was a bad performance when only Balsamo was able to follow her. It will never be a given that she beats her.
Only saw a short video where Elisa came around her. So it didn’t look like it. But even more strong of Balsamo. After some bad luck she’s getting back to good form.

Vollering all alone in the finish with no Kopecky or NFB. Shows how the situation is at the moment.

I wonder if Vollering will atack her own teammate tomorrow who is in the lead at 2 secs.

Vollering is more of a team player than Kopecky, she might be okay with second.

Lore De Schepper 9th already in Romandia. Good debut, hope our “local” can become some top climber.

Her pre race interview said she wanted to win, SDWorx said they'd picked a team to help her do that...
Also in her interview after the finish she said that she wants to win and hope that the DS plays a neutral role in stage 3 and let the riders fight against each others.

The post UCIWWT shared is an intriguing insight into team relations.

Demi saying yeah it's always been strange to sprint against your teammates

Lotte saying well there were only two of us so logic says we can sprint it out.

Nice win for Hashimi. I managed to jinx Arkéa by saying they had the strongest team, cause then they lost both Cavallar, Claes and Coljé during the stage.

The team dynamics must be totally messed up!
