Had to look twice, but the Lotto Thüringen Tour has on stage 5 a 31 km ITT. More than the Tour last year and the Tour and Giro this year.
Crazy.

Also not the strongest starting field, with all of the top sprinters missing. With that said it will be a hard fight to win a stage.

It's a joke parcours unless they have crosswinds. The ITT will decide everything.

You'd think they could have got Christine Marjerus one of those standard kits with the Luxembourg flag sleeve detail 🙄

I am interested in how Gigante goes in this race. The parcours do not suit, however, if she's in form she could just about win the ITT.

Why are the Liv Jayco conti team riding at the front of the peleton. They don't have their sprinter Jeffers in the race. Madness ! They should be in the break.

No-one is working in the peleton. The two breakaway riders have over 5 minutes with just over 20kms to go.

The two breakaway riders will have a gap of around 6m. helped by the peleton getting caught at a railway crossing for 3 min. GC is over.

Once again I'm regretting cutting Vanpachtenbeke from my emerging riders team. That level crossing destroyed the already limited chase behind, so it will be hard for anyone other than Vanpachtenbeke and Edwards to win the race now.

Commissars have given back the peleton around 3 metres after the level crossing. two leading riders now have 2m and 34s. Should be enough for Ruth Edwards.

It was an excellent sprint from Fidanza ,who brilliantly used the kink in the barriers in the last 100 metres to set up the win.

Hope Fidanza can get another step in the coming years. Maybe with a better team and riding bigger races.

Well Fidanza won the sprint again in Stage 3, Guarischi coming 2nd again. I'm sure some teams are taking note.

And Fidanza takes the points jersey so far though top two in GC I think unchanged

Women's Tour de Pologne - a 2.2 race - is starting today.
Unlike the men's edition - a WT race - it will actually have coverage.
Not even making this up.

I watch the men's edition of Poland every year.

You have a friend who send footage from a phone?
It hasn't been available on Eurosport/Discovery +/(MAX) for years.

But anyway, lesser known races - whether men or women - just can't always have coverage.

You know very well that the race has been broadcast live in other places, you've just given up trying to find them.

I mean, sure... it's probably been broadcast on some local Polish TV stations...
Fact remains that the Eurosport have all races that are being broadcast internationally. With the additional option of other broadcasters in some cases.

But anyway, this is the lesser known women's races thread. The lesser known men's races thread is elsewhere.

I see the graphics people for Thüringen aren't quite up-to-date when it comes to Edwards' name.

Vanpachtenbeke lost the overall lead in the final.
She will most likely do worse than Edwards in the ITT, but a lot of surprises can happen in such a long time trial.

PCS still shows her leading GC ? finished in same group as Edwards. Bredewold is upto 3rd
