The weather won't be shitty so the race is not over yet. That being said: Teddy to win. Maybe we will have a battle vs Remco.
I'm really hoping for a big battle, but guardedly; I know today is not Remco's favored terrain but the way Taddy powered away in the saddle sure makes Amstel look far away indeed. I think it goes without saying Remco better wake up Sunday morning feeling peak monster or he's in trouble.

Jan Christen, McNulty and Sivakov should impose their presence beside Pogi, to absorb some of the attacks, countering some dangerous moves of Remco and etc. Pogi's counter attack would be launched anytime when other favorites would just be content riding on UAE's slipstream.

In theory, recreating the Amstel scenario, where Pog goes away early, but remains in touching distance and then a second selection occurs resulting in a small well-working chase group, is probably the most likely way to beat him.

The key factor in most of the long solos we have seen in classics in recent years has been the fact that none of chasers haven't been strong enough or willing to go deep enough to establish a small enough second selection behind a lone leader. It always ends up in a bigger group where too many are happy to just ride for a good placing.

Uno-X will become Team 7-Eleven for the race.

that's pretty cool indeed

Uno-X will become Team 7-Eleven for the race.

However, one must not forget that the now defunct Illi-Bikes/Rupelcleaning/IBCT team paid tribute to the old 7-Eleven team because the owner was a big fan of the kit.

But a worry for Uno-X that they still can't attract sponsors from outside the Reitan Group.
