That whole part went over my head, I still don´t understand anybody's point. Anyway. Remember what Brian Nygaard said at the Leopard Trek team presentation this january:

“I want to take cycling back to fans, back to its roots. We want to perform well, yes, but we want to have a team that does it with soul."

...

“Our motto is ‘true racing,’ and that’s what we hope to do,” he said. “I think that a lot of—if you will excuse me—bull**** has taken bike racing away from the people: too many scandals, too many political or technical issues that have taken the spotlight off of the beauty of the sport. That’s not what matters. What matters is a lot of fit, healthy, clean athletes putting a number on their back and racing as hard as they can.”

I guess he forgot to clear that with Becca.

Gerard has had some good input on this since the start. He essentially says that all the RS guys are free to go. Will be interesting if any of the recently signed guys, Kloden, Horner, leave. I doubt they would

Why on Earth would Horner want to leave?
He is probably the happiest and most motivated person on the team.
Chris is now grinning even when he is off the bike. Sheesh.

And Kloden? He surely appreciates the Work Ethic at Radioshack.
Hopefully it will rub off on the Schlecks.
And Klodi will take special pleasure helping to defeat Alberto.

Besides, I bet Chris and Klodi were in on the details of the possible "merger" when they signed their contracts.
Bruyneel would not keep those guys in the dark.
Bruyneel is no Becca.
Radioshack-Nissan-Trek....professional grade.

Well clearly, Fabian is the most screwed over. Johann just doesn't give a damn about the classics and never has. He'll focus soley on the TDF.

I guess he's just a highly paid domestique now. Wonder how Fabian feels about leaving Saxo now?

I think his laser-focus on the TDF was based on the talent at hand - they had a TDF winner and no reason to expand beyond that. With one of the world's greatest classic riders on his team, he will certainly adapt the program to give Canc a chance to win some spring races.

Ask Tom Boonen about his time at US Postal under Johann.

Tom Boonen was just another rider on the team in 2002 - put in a great performance at P-R, but he wasn't the legendary classics rider we now know him to be. And during that time, US Postal had good reason to focus their energies on the TDF.

His result in P-R 2002 was faily good.. First season as well.

From the wikipedia article on Boonen:

However, Boonen was not completely happy at US Postal, claiming he did not get enough chances to ride for himself. Towards the end of the year he announced he would leave the team, despite being under contract, and joined Quick Step-Davitamon at the start of 2003.[4] The 2003 season, however, did not go well for Boonen, who saw lacklustre performance due to fatigue and a knee injury. In this season Museeuw was the undisputed team leader for the spring classics campaign.

I think he knew Postal would have no ambitions other than those of Armstrong.

I guess we'll see with Fabian. I'm doubtful but who knows?

Boonen couldn't ride for himself because Postal had a classics man--Hincapie. Boonen was hired to support big George, but of course it was obvious to everyone fairly quickly that he was better than the guy he was supposed to support, so he left. After he left Discovery hired Hoste to support Hincapie, which led to the hilarious 2006 Ronde (hilarious for everyone but Hincapie).

But how reliable is this? Fuglsang, Monfort, and Bennati are reportedly looking for a new team.

I suspect Levi too - that's perhaps why he changed teams - not to be a domestique.

Only three riders have won all 5 Monuments of Cycling.
Roger De Vlaeminck, Rik Van Looy and of course Eddy.

Before last year, Fabian announced he wants to join them.
He has already won MSR(2008), Ronde(2010), and Roubaix(2010).
Still needs to win Liege and Lombardia.

But Fabian's plan was put on the Back Burner by Becca.

Bruyneel and Radioshack-Nissan-Trek will re-light the Stove.
What a timeless accomplishment for Fabian!
What Great Publicity for Radioshack-Nissan-Trek.
And Bruyneel lol.

Start the training for LBL.....

Of course, it's obvious.

Oh but wait, it really was because of "GJ testimony" lol.
You know - Keep your friends far, and your enemies farther.
Lance has no friends lol again.

I don't believe any of the Becca this and Becca that blame. As far as I am concerned, and it aint worth a pot to spit in, Becca was a front for the Schleck boys Rider manager play. it was their team their terms with a bunch f yes men running around wiping noses and sometime in the middle of July they realized that just can't do this on their own. With a nudge from Fabian, they made a call

How this is good for Fabian is beyond me, care to explain why Fabian would do this to himself
