I find it odd that in reading this thread that cobblestoned is seeming to make more sense and be more reasonable then those he's arguing with.

That's not common... but that's how it looks right now. I think the RS/Bruyneel/Lance hatred has been taken way too far in this thread for that to be possible.
I would find it odd if you did not side with Cobblestoned - or were you pretending to be impartial?

The fact that you only mentioned "RS/Bruyneel/Lance" shows your bias.
Most here comment on the main villain of this mess, Becca.

So if a poster points out something negative they are a "Hater" We should just ignore it?

Becca indeed looks like a dirtbag, but do not forget that CSE told it's riders and staff for months that they had a team next year.....when they knew they were not going to have a license. They already knew before the Tour that they were not going to be around next year.

The riders and staff who are out of work, searching for a team for next year, are CSE employees, not Leopard.

Oh no don't get me wrong I agree with the criticism of Bruyneel and so on I merely thought it was a funny comment.

Geoffroy Lequatre recently pointed out though that he and others had known early on that their contract wouldn't be extended with RadioShack so they could start looking pretty early. That's also how they knew something big was coming but they didn't know what it was. Leopard riders on the other hand found out through the papers that they had to look for a new team ... it might end up not being true but still it was pretty terrible on Becca's part. Riders tweeting "I woke up and had 25 missed calls, what's going on?!" (Mortensen) is truly bad. But it's difficult to say who exactly is the super vilain in this story and who is just common evil ...

From Facebook page of Giro del Trentino:
Fuglsang resta in Radioshack e punta al Giro d'Italia, sul Garda potrà prepararlo al meglio con corse d'avvicinamento adatte a lui.

it's pretty clear by that that the true villain is flavio becca and the super devil throughout past 10 years cycling history is johan bruyneel

McQuaid has a press conference at the Worlds earlier today. He said that Radioshack was always going to stop at the end of this year.

Too bad Armstrong, Knaggs, Stapleton, and Brunyeel never got around to telling their riders and staff this

Agreed

The UCI should have said something earlier. They did when Pegasus was going around saying they had a team, when they didn't. They should have done the same when CSE was pretending they were going to be around next year, when they were not.

Note, most of the riders will find a job. Their contracts will be honored. But there will be dozens of staff out of work, late in the season. UCI nor riders association cares about a guy who drives a truck

Also shows there's a massive problem with ProTour qualification. Radioshack and probably nor Leopard should have got a licence without proof of 4 years of money. Beggars belief why FDJ can't get a ProTour spot with their long term investment in cycling.

The "4 years money proof" is all BS.
It's just a piece of paper where one of the main sponsor state that they will cover the expenses for the next 4 years (= means totally nothing like in this case).

Who was that ? Sources ? Real sources that state exactly that ?
You mean Hermans I guess. Haters trying to lay words in his mouth quiet for a long time.
Hermans was unhappy with his program, not beeing selected for races he wanted to ride, or mainly GTs. Cycling is not wonderland where everyone can be satisfied and happy.
For haters, RS has to be wonderland. Heavy doublestandards.

Levi recently thanked and praised RS, btw. :D
I guess that was ignored here. Very clever. Doesn't fit.

This is getting more and more funny with you guys....really. :)
You make Hollywood conspiracy movies out of.......just transfers or team changes. Total horror. Poor riders.

RS-CIS.

Well said stoned. A lot of creative thinking, but such discussions are apt to be populated by "spin doctors." It reminds me of the rancor that surrounds politics.

Deloitte audits the financials and the process. My concern is no one actually knows what the rules of membership are. There's obviously a non-euro bias but that could be ordered in the framework if made public. Its not unusual in sporting competitions to weight non-core country selection.

In the context of the new merger the UCI are hamstrung by their history with Lance. They can't release themselves from what happened in the past. Thus they'll neveer be able to do anything with this situation.

All the riders knew Radioshack had a 2 year contract ending this year.
Riders have known that for years lol.

Maybe you missed the Bruyneel Blog way back Pre-Tour that announced a 2 year extension?

Yes, and Charlie Sheen just thanked his co-stars for 8 "wonderful years" and wished the show "nothing but" continued success in the future.

I'm sure they both meant it...

Bias aside, in what way did Leipheimer suffer when with Bruyneel?

Back to Astana, I guess.

I hope so.

Štangelj will be there as a DS, Božič will be there and also Kišerlovski will be there. Kišerlovski is a friend of Jani, they were raised in the same club.

Bold move keeping Fuglsang over Brajkovic. I wonder what the reasoning behind that is. Maybe the Schlecks had their say this time? Anyhow it'll be interesting to see Bruyneel work his magic with Jakob

I thought he had a bond with Bruyneel? The whole JB jr crap.

But ok, a Vinokourovless Astana is a rather sad sight in stage races so good on him for helping them out. Masciarelli does need helpers for his assault on the Giro.

JohanBruyneel
@MsIngaSpoke - I'm not trading anyone, question u should ask him: does he want to stay?

To clarify: JB never tried to sell me elsewhere, he'd never do that. He is a great and honest man who always tried to help.

It's pretty obvious Jani doesn't want to be a domestique next year and he wants to do well in Le Tour.

Bruyneel understands this. Jani understands that Bruyneel can't offer him this. They are not stupid.
