Unlike their critics, Bruyneel and Schleck are morons. To be sure! CN forum members know cycling better. :p

Maybe I'm a moron too but Bruyneel tricky words try to justify another lazy year for Andy:p

Pretty clear he is gonna be fresh to do two or three "Galibers stages"

It's a fair decision from Andy to ride the Tour, but I fear (for him) that we wouldn't even make the podium.
Evans, Wiggo, Berti (if allowed) + another will battle for the win and 1-3 spots.

Andy winning the 2012 tour would be the biggest sensation in cycling during the last 10 years.

And a suspicious one as well

Better than Andy for sure :p
Because let's face it, how many stage races has 'the 2nd best stage racer in the world' won?

the only reason contador didn't win the tour last year was because of his crashes. if that's what bruyneel said he is an idiot

Bruyneel knows Contador is ten times better than Andy though.

It's not that they don't know about cycling, it's that they start from the premise that only the Tour matters. With that in mind, their position makes perfect sense.

But it's what Andy has been trying for the last 4 seasons, and it's never worked. Are you familiar with that saying that goes "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result"?

At the end of the day, Andy's sacrificing his whole career for nothing.

Its ok. I just don't get the position "I love the one, that's why I hate another". That's unsportsmanlike.

Bruyneel confirms only Tour for Andy and avoid even LBL, only peak for July:rolleyes:

Are you joking???

Andy:
"Giro is a nice race but it's not the Tour and never will be"

2nd at the Tour is a nice achievment but its not a Grand Tour win and never will be.

(probably not wise saying this about 10 days before Andy gets a Tour victory:eek:)

"I love the one, that's why I hate another" position is not mine;)

I don't hate any rider, I dislike his approach to whole sport. Van der Broeck was in the same league last year, we'll see this year.

VdB2 was also competitive in the vuelta :p although that was more because he had to save his season ^^ And because he's not good enough to have 2 major peaks. Andy should be. Evans wins throughout the year, and won the Tour, Contador as well. Andy is in the same league as those guys. He just pussies out every time he has to race

But he went because his crash.

Anyway being 5th (it was 5th?) it isn't a free ticket to did nothing until July, that's my view:p

I dont know. Schleck claimed Cadel could only challenge for the Tour if he stopped doing too many races at too high a level.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/schleck-brothers-rate-likely-tour-de-france-rivals

He didnt rate Sanchez or Gesink as contenders either.

Also in the article I found this which is an even more hateful attitude towards Carlos Sastre than we are used to from these 2.

"I don't see him as a threat for the GC. It was a fluke year and he had good teammates and although he won't say it he won the Tour because of us

Ive never hated a cyclist before and I certainatly find a lot to admire in Schleck, but these hateful cheap insults towards people and events that make cycling great, are pushing me to that direction with Schleck.

As one of these all or nothing short tempered types I can understand where Andy is coming from. To him nothing else matters but winning the Tour.

He would probably rather not win the Giro than win it because if you cant have what you want then you don't want anything.
