Bruyneel is probably doing the right thing. It did not work last year and he does not want Andersen's influence involved. Maybe a tougher approach needed to shake up and wake up the Schlecks ?

+1; Let's face it, Andy's chances of winning this year's Tour are slim if he rides like last year. A bad route is the perfect time to try something different. If Hog directing doesn't work, at least he didn't waste a huge opportunity.

Now, I'm not sure that: 1) Baby Andy will understand this; 2)He is actually good enough to put in constant attacks like people want him to; maybe 1 big attack per Tour is all he is capable of?

They just have to sacrifice Horner, Frank and Kloden etc and see what comes of it. The other teams will have to take the bait at some stage, setting it up for another attack by Andy. It's no secret that Wiggins, Evans, Menchov don't like constant changes of pace in the mountains. Bruyneel obviously has to exploit that and maybe also try some attacks at unexpected times. Horner and Kloden and especially Frank can't be handed too much time on GC so R/ Shack has come cards to play.

Yep, that's how they should do it. Also I don't get why they don't try something similar for LBL: they have at least 3 good riders: Schleck Schleck and Horner, plus several decent ones. They should get a rider in absolutely every break, never do any work, then in the final put in strong attacks from their star riders, such that when/if one is caught the other goes immediately. Then hopefully many people will be tired for the final attack (by Frank probably).

But Wiggins, Menchov and Evans can ride a constant hard pace, so they don't really need to answer all the attacks, they just need to ride they own tempo, and no one will go too far away.

Apparently Bruyneel wants to manage single-handedly. Riis complained a couple years ago about the fact that Basso was an easier man than Andy to work with cos he (Basso) always fulfilled any training directions. In short, I believe in Bruyneel's rightness. It's absolutely kind-hearted delightful man who always knows what he does.

Yeah he was so kind-hearted and delightful when he screwed Alberto over together with Lance during the Tour de France 2009.

I was implying exactly this. He's so kind-hearted and delightful that always is eager to eliminate any enemy by any means.

Why do you keep bringing Alberto up in the Andy/Radioshack threads?

 You're right. I should stop taking airstream's bait.

As to bringing Alberto up randomly in discussions that have got nothing to do with him, check out this pm airstream sent me. (One of the many):

"Okay, probably we don't understand one another et all. Decode what i don't get"

Titled "cheat Contador".

I should just put him back on ignore, his trolling is making me sick.

Also airstream, please stop spamming my inbox with pms.

He has a fire in his belly, that's for sure.

Just grow up and learn to communicate with no insults and curses, adressed to the forum members in PM. Here everyone doesn't care about your personal cycling view and whether you consider it trolling and baiting cos has its own. That's all.
