10th and 7th isn't such a big difference.

Just look at greenedge for example.
They have had a great season but are so low down on the cq rankings.
On the uci rankings they are much higher.

UCI rankings count only WT races. And most of us agree that they are useless and while CQ ranking has few flaws its much better than UCI ranking.

Cycling is more than that and RSNT had more good results in those races, where BMC have shown nothing.

And you cant' disagree as just looking at RSNT's results list this year. It looks more impressive than BMC. Not by much.

But still much better.

Really RSNT better than BMC and BMC showing nothing???

Podium places at important classics
RVV and a 4th
PR
FW

2 stages at the Giro

Stage win at dauphine and possible 2nd place in GC.

5th and 4th GC in PN and California for TJVG

Wins in giro della toscana and Trentino TTT.

Stage win and GC win in Criterium international

Sure they haven't had a great season and its been below their expectations.
But its not as bad as you say it is.
They performed strongly throughout the classics season, but just could not finish it off for the victory.
Plus they have been hampered with illnesses, crashes and injuries really badly.

If evans manages to win the tdf their season will be a success already.

GE seem to specialize in WT events looking at their podiums. I would also guess that they don't have that many top-10 GC places.

Edit: also having checked, probably more than half of GE have <100 CQ points this year

Edit 2: make it 2/3 of GE

exactly Machado in Algarve, TDU, Bakelants TDU. Horner in TA. Fuglsang Luxembourg. Just off the top of my head i am sure there are many more examples this year.

Just makes me want to go out and buy a transistor radio. It really does. Or a TRS-80. When RSNT finish 4th in a race I might splash out on radio controlled car.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!! Alberto leaving Bjarne would be bad, but Alberto leaving Bjarne for Hog and Frandy returning to Bjarne is the worst possible scenario. I would cry for weeks.

I think Contador will be very tempted by the Bruyneel combination. He's done the Riis thing and it didn't work out. His glory years were with Bruyneel and he will want to recreate that period of success. Good luck to him.

Astana already spent the big bucks and promised the VN the sole team leader in grand tour

Not that i doubt you, but confirmed by who? I know the rumours, but would it be so hard, to say Vincenzo the Giro is yours, but we just signed Contador for the Tour...thoughts?

Does that include halfway through the season making room for a famous rider coming back to rain on Contador's parade and treat him badly during the TdF leaving him with no support or team cars.

I think Contador is a lot smarter than than that.

Whatever Contador did at Astana i imagine Bruyneel had little or no hand in it.

Alberto will still win races no matter who he rides for :D, as for Frandy this would be the last chance for them as if they dont win back with Bjarne will they ever ?

Those were exceptional circumstances and I think Contador is able to look past that. He knows he will be the main guy this time. His personal relationship with Bruyneel has remained good and they both have the same tactical approach to cycling. They will make phenominal team that will have the rest of the peloton terrified.

which had nothing to do with crashes on the first week and winning the giro by 7 minutes ofc

No his form suffered at the tour. The fact that he wasted all that energy winning the Giro by 7 minutes was part of the problem. With Bruyneel he will be getting better advice on how to get the best out of him.
