He just need the top riders racing against each other, and everything will be fine.People still think Red Rick was trolling when he said he longs back to the Sky era?
Cycling was better then, sad to admitPeople still think Red Rick was trolling when he said he longs back to the Sky era?
If Pog wasn’t here and Bardet, Carapaz, Bernal, Van Gil were racing for the win, I don’t believe MVDP would have caught them today. That didn’t mean it would be that way in the future —but in the future he’ll have Remco and perhaps someday Vingegaard, as well as Pog to try to hang with.In this race how would it have made a difference? The group wouldn't have just let a Bardet stay away imo. That size group could close down 20s in ~7km or whatever if they were racing for the win. Of course they know MvDP is unbeatable in the sprint so there would have been attacks, but I still think mvdps chances of beating the entire field minus Pog would have been greater without Pog up the road.
But if Remco were present that would have also been a problem. So I think we can say MvDP is going to need a lot of tactical luck, a change of course, some freakish weather (?) or some better climbing doms to ever win this race among this generation of riders. Still a podium is mad respectable.
You are talking about pogacar dedicating the win to his mother in law who deceased on this day, 2 years ago?The dedicating wins to random people hypocrisy is notable though, Vingegaard would be ridiculed into oblivion.
A bit like Wva podium last year?Van der Poel's result is historic.
Someone of his weight podium iat Lieje is not easy at all, although it is true that the new route makes it easier.
How many Roubaix winners have been on the Liège podium? It's like if Pogacar makes a podium in Roubaix one day, it would be something historic, although we all dream that one day he can win it, but something would have to happen to the favorites, It is not his race, as it's not Líeje of VDP either.
Watching a race for second isn't a bad thing honestly.
Judging different elements of a set differently is not hypocrisy. The dedicating wins to random people hypocrisy is notable though, Vingegaard would be ridiculed into oblivion.
I enjoyed it. I was pulling for Bernal but Bardet obviously did really well, which is cool also.Watching a race for second isn't a bad thing honestly.
Not soCycling was better then, sad to admit
That doesn't sound too random..............You are talking about pogacar dedicating the win to his mother in law who deceased on this day, 2 years ago?
I suppose he also had a hard spring. Or does anybody believe he spent the past few weeks at the pool?He looks almost sickly.
He looked a bit similar after another win this year but I can't remember which one it was. But yes he looks sickly. Drained of blood. (I'm not implying anything but rather meaning he looks like a vampire took all his energy) :/He looks almost sickly.
Same last year untill Pogacar crashed in Liege he and Mvdp cleaned house in the monuments i believe. I myself dont see Evenpoel beeing very close, indeed the closest maby Roglic too could muster a good results both most likely better then rest here indeed. To bad they aint here but the result i doubt wouldnt change much .Same for Van Aert in flandern is my belief but however it certaintly would bring more excitement and suspense.24 truly is a one-sided affair and not looking up. Cycling can be a tough mistress.

I had not thought about that yet as none of my usual favorite riders are there, so either of those 3 goes well for me. I like them all Lopez would be nice too. (always miss that madman </3)So who are you backing for 2nd at the Giro then ...Thomas , Bardet or Nairoman ?
Maybe Martinez or in the the young corner Uijtdebroeks or Tiberi ???
Gianetti looked like a vampire today and he‘s had an interest in human blood. Suspicious, SuspiciousHe looked a bit similar after another win this year but I can't remember which one it was. OMG I had forgotten about Martin! Those damn Cofidis riders!
And for what? 18th...
Well I guess we'll never know, but I don't think Bardet could have tried any harder than he did (and the others you listed, likewise), whereas the group that finished behind the two leaders could have tried harder than they did. So if tactics were different it could only have helped MvDP. But if Pog weren't there at all then the race might have been less controlled to begin with and MVDP may have needed to deal with more long range attacks from Healy etc.If Pog wasn’t here and Bardet, Carapaz, Bernal, Van Gil were racing for the win, I don’t believe MVDP would have caught them today. That didn’t mean it would be that way in the future —but in the future he’ll have Remco and perhaps someday Vingegaard, as well as Pog to try to hang with.
