In this Belgian weather I’m used to riding when it rains a bit during the ride. But tomorrow starting in the rain and going faster in longer descents is something different. Just hope I don’t get cold. Better too warm than too cold.

After last year, I just hope Pogacar doesn't crash. If its wet a long range solo attack makes more sense for Pog and he can be slightly conservative in the descents. If Pog descends slowly might be an opportunity for a rider like Pidcock?

Hope nobody crashes, especially the top riders, because we already lost some good battles this year.

I‘ve read the 2022 Giro preview by Contador and now I know how this Liège will turn out and I‘ll spoiler you the podium. Bwahahaaa

It's always a game of chance. But I think Joao Almeida, Richard Carapaz and I think Mathieu Van der Poel will be in contention for the top three places in the standings, although I don't know the order but I think the three of them have a little bit more chance than the rest.

If the weather will be bad, Almeida will not even finish the race.

Any chance Alaphilippe is any kind of factor here? Or is that hope beyond the point of foolishness?

[mod deleted: continuing off topic discussion]

Anyway there is big value E/W in any one day race that has such a heavy favourite because the odds for any 2nd tiers get wildly inflated. Pidcock 18/1 looks quite good.

Looking at a few websites, it seems to be about 10C and cloudy with an outside chance of a shower. The danger I can see might be the occasional frost patches on the roads as the overnight temperature will be down to almost 0C.

Spotted: herpes. Remnants of Catalunya or the beginning of a potential problem?

Skjelmose was begging for it during Fleche because it rained a bit for 15 minutes...

Naah. He's just said he was glad that video got out, because it showed that it really was that cold.

Meanwhile, Kron - one of the last finishers - has said that it was perfectly okay FW was ridden as normal.

Odds on they'll utilise extreme weather protocol because of a little cold? Skjelmose was begging for it during Fleche because it rained a bit for 15 minutes...
In a monument? Very low, would devalue the race and in a one-day race, you can‘t cut out anything. As long as it isn‘t 2013 MSR conditions… Then again, if you were a rider and asked Adam Hansen, he‘d get something going.
