Melbourne Storm mate. Aussies are the worst of all cheats.

Hard to do if you support clean riders who get robbed of victories by these guys.

So if you think they're clean, they're clean?
Just because they're vocal about being anti-dope? Like Cunego, like Armstrong?

Support clean riders: visit your local juniors race.

All this talk about an unrepentant Vino. What did he say exactly? Anything? Did he remain silent? Just deny? Say he did it and he's not ashamed?

I really don't remember.

David Millar was banned and was repentent, and took a very long time to get his form back..

Vinokourov is an unrepentant drugs cheat so you have to take this result with a pinch of salt, Its a very bad situation for cycling.

NOT if you are unrepentant. Sorry, dude.

Yeah.....and soooo many of the current riders ARE repentant? ha!

"I doped?!? Are you serious?!? I am soooo clean my *** squeaks!!"

Vino did his time...NOTHING in the rules says how he is supposed to ACT!
This is bike racing, not the effing catholic church! ha! get over it!
(oops...maybe not the best comparison! lol)

Sorry...this totally belongs in the Clinic....I'm sure by tomorrow the mods will have moved a good 500 posts to another thread...

That's fine, you can hate the guy, but shouldn't be saying it's a sad day for cycling. Whatever his attitude was regarding his conviction he still did the time, has come back and won the race fair and square. If millar won RVV people wouldn't say its a sad day for cycling.. news flash they did the same sh!t. And irregardless of their 'attitudes' it shouldn't reflect differently on the sport.

Like others have said, cycling is what it is.

Okay, fair enough, but then I also welcome Lance. Can't have it both ways.

so we go through the whole (judeo-christian) catharsis forgiveness charade?

Perhaps Vino read Nietzsche...

No, the "charade" of the Western judicial tradition. Trivial thing, eh?

Jailhouse dudes have their preferences.

people cheat everywhere, in Uni, at work, in society at large, in business, on wal straat, in criminal business, in war and in peace. Lawyers cheat, students do, the clergy does, politicians, cyclists, football players, perhaps even some family members.

No one is an altar boy... :p

People that would rather be a fan of one guy rather than a beautiful sport.

So what? Whatever brings people to the sport, right? If Gesink had (magically ) won today I'd be bouncing off the walls

Millar was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and suddenly became Holier-Than-Thou. I don't trust that anymore than Vino. If you get caught IMO you should shut up, I'd spit on Millar as a fellow pro.

Vino is way more talented than Millar, so your comparison doesn't really make sense.

Beautifull racing today, not thrilled with the outcome, but some fantastic moments really. Gilbert excelent! Saxo bad, Liqui even worse. Feel sory for Gesink, Nibali, Kreuziger, Tony Martin, Velits brothers, Monfort etc., they better start thinking about how much successfull they want to be in this sport. Fast.

But hey that is pro cycling. :)

So are you saying you are for a lifetime ban for dopers or are you assuming that because he doped before he is definitely doping now?

Are you being sarcastic?

Basso denied, denied some more, gave his dog another name, swore on his children, signed a new contract, denied some more and when he really had no other options left but admitting or committing suicide, he said he planned to dope but didn't actually do it.

Really, props.

What, so there are no clean professional cyclists?

Also, how dare you imply I support Cunego or Armstrong :p

I'm giving props to his subsequent performance, to the FACTS. Do as I do, not do as I say. Every heard that? LOL
