That's simply not true. In the 2009 Liegè he dropped the entire peloton on the Roche aux Faucons (1.5km, average of 10%, but he attacked on the steepest part, 15%), a couple of days before that he finished second in the Fleche Wallonne, on of the steepest climbs in any road race.

He was quite bad in Mende last year, but there is nothing to suggest that Schleck has problems with steep sections, his results in the classics and the Giro suggest the opposite.
