Wow that 16-years old Chinese girl, wtf. Behind @300 m and than such an accelleration and World Record.

yeah saw that too. She ripped up the field in 100m free stroke! 16 years! Incredible.

On a different note.

Most unfortunate name of the tournament so far:

"Destinee Hooker"

This evening Holland have to get their first gold medal. The 'golden girls' :)o) at the 4x100 m won four years ago and we expect them to repeat this.

Bad luck. A BIG surprise.
Obviously Mick and Richie had some gear spare for the Oz girls.;):D

Was a pretty good race. The last girl from the Netherlands was flying.

:( Dutch ladys 'lost' their gold medal. Australia won. First two ladies were too slow, Heemskerk came back to 3rd place and Kromowidjojo hammered the field but they were too much behind.

No Italians are going to mention women's foil fencing? The match for 3rd place was absolutely brilliant.

Yes, but Kromowidjojo had a split time of 51.93. That's the fastest 100m ever by a woman. And she'll probably have a good shot at gold at the 50m free as well.

First time I mentioned fencing it was a random sport to bring up. Then I was like "hey this has to be pretty cool to watch, actually", and sure enough, it's great. I had watched a tiny bit of fencing in 2008, but nothing before that.

Phelps... humiliated

Yeah, I didn't think that he would do that well going into the Games.

Anyway, Australia will crush everyone in the Men's 4x100m Free tonight. :)

Poor Stephanie rice but at least our womens' relay went well. Our mens should also go well tonight. Rowing for Australia also looks promising.

I did fencing at school previously, year 7 and 8 but the training sessions were way too long ( too many streches ) and the comps would go for 5 hours so i switched to soccer which is much better for me.

I liked watching the volleyball Serbia vs China. When is the marathon on???
