Celebrate an institution that dishes out free drugs?
I'm surprised there's not already a thread up in the clinic.

Boyle by name, boil by nature.

What's with french getting top billing?
200 million speak frog.
1 billion have English as first language and half the rest of the world are fairly fluent.

yeah free, unless you've spent a lifetime paying income tax @ 40%, National Insurance@ 9%, then you've got fuel where 80% of the cost is tax. But yeah go on have it your way - brits get drugs for free.

And French is the official language because the IOC was founded by Baron Pierre De Coubertin, a frenchmen.

congtrats on xenophobic post of the day btw.

Lot's of great music comes from Britain. None of which gets played tonight, all music I hear is awful.

Disagree
kinks, stones, beatles, pistols, the specials, underworld, muse and dizzie rascal - thats a great selection of british music. What else would you have had?

Maybe a bit offensive to the Japanese to play Enola Gay by OMD and I could see how the Dambusters march could upset a few Germans.

All I hear is popular tunes? Were these played earlier in the night?

Anyone spotted any cyclists so far?

Brad rang a bell at the start.

Guess most of the roadies will be tucked up in bed by now. 10am start, will be up long before that time.

Not male road cyclists, they won't be here.

However, a BMX cyclist was flag wearer for Colombia and a female road cyclist for El Salvador.

Possibly more, but only paying limited attention.

most of the road cyclists will be swerving this, they have an early start tomorrow.

For some reason I had it in my head the RR was on Sunday. A quick change of plan for tomorrow afternoon is in order. Cheers to you and Frosty for the heads up:)

Ha, saw those tweets too, he's got a little excited.

My personal prediction to provide balance, is that Tree is getting torched later, in a symbolic nod to the last 2 Conservative logos.

I tried to limit it to people where everybody's still alive and well, though I forgot about Rick Wright's passing for which I apologise profusely.

Otherwise I'd have included Joy Division too.

couple of them were played, I didn't list all the bands that were played, just the most well known british bands.
