That's BS. He qualified for the semis as everyone else did. So he's not good enough to get through to the final - only eight guys are.

There has been a lot of talk about his legs and the science certainly isn't clear. I've heard so much conflicting information that I don't know what to believe.

The thing about Pistorius is that we don't know how fast he'd have been if he'd had legs. For all we know if he'd had 'em he might've never wanted to become a runner.

These Olympics are sorta weird though: We have a runner without legs and an almost blind archer!

My view on Pistorius is utterly illogical. I feel that so long as he's just appearing but not truly challenging for medals and finals it's fine, but if he were to win a medal I'm not sure I'd be okay with that.

He himself said during an interview that the technology he uses has existed since the mid nineties or something; In any case, it's quite old. So his rethorical question was something along the lines of "If it has such an advantage, then why is the 400m not dominated by (pre-existing) amputees who all have access to this technology."

Zarapowas win in 3000m steeplechase should entertain all cycling fans. Took the front from cm1. Put.on the gas szmyd style dropping everyone 1 by 1 over the first 2600 m until there were 4 left, then did 3 attacks in the last 400m each one over a jump and contador gap style, eventually cracking the last 3 and soloing in down the home straight.
