durainrider. Dude I challenge you to do the Tour Divide on your 29er. I am serious. Self supported race both food, shelter and mechanical.

you can promote Vegan from Canada to the Mexico border and document the foods you find along the way

since you dont have a job and all ;)

If I dont have a job and there fore live below the poverty line then how can I afford to fly to the US to do a race on a 29er I dont have plus spending money on advertising the trip? ;)

Heck, buddy Doug Walsh has already WALKED PCT lol! http://www.rawguru.com/html/doug.html

Doing GD on a bling 29er would be cheating in my book. Sounds like a piece of cake on the bike. Heck I rode the Telegraph track and your sleeping next to crocodiles and its WAY rougher terrain + with all the isolation out there. Even brand new 4WD get written off just from normal driving on that track. I rode Cairns to the very tip of Cape York in 7 days. Solo. People didnt even believe how fast I was riding when they were following my tracks in the sand on their motor bikes. I actually beat a group of motor crosser's that left a day after me.

Riding the divide sounds great fun though. Nice holiday with comforts along the way and no taipans or crocodiles to worry about.

The best thing about this thread is the thick skin druainrider has. he takes a beating and it doesn't even faze his position on the subject. he doesn't even suggest he doesn't deserve it either.

good on ya druainrider. funny motherFo

the worst thing about this thread is that it comes to mind when I eat a steak

Thanks bro. :)

Im not making the coin I make off youtube from having a thin skin. ;)

People love a bit of controversy. I like sharing empowering messages. They both go hand in hand.

#We still dont have a word for protein deficiency on earth. If you give starving people 80g of protein powder a day, they are still starving people and will die from kwashiorkor. If you give them enough calories from fruit & corn per day, they wont die. Yet fruit 'doesnt have protein in it' some people say. I guess they dont know much about nutrition. No such thing as protein deficiency cos if there was, you could just slip people a sachet of protein powder a day and they would survive..like scurvy or pernicious anemia etc.

#Ran the Bangkok marathon on Sunday. First white guy across the line. Ran
135km TOTAL over the last 6 weeks and ran a 3:07 in 30 celcius Bangkok heat.

Those corn and banana munching Kenyans just took off like it was a 5k lol! They were running for 12$k first place. With an income of 770$ average per year in Kenya, thats like 15 years wages..

Funny that Kenyan athletes eat such a LOW protein diet based on corn, rice and bananas yet are the worlds greatest runners.

Protein deficient vegan on ******** minimal training was the first white guy home. What happend to all the protein sufficient expats that live here in Bangkok? How come I dropped em all? Heck, I entered the night before as a bit of a laugh. Running a marathon around Bangok seemed like a bit of an adventure. Especially when it started at 3am in the morning lol!

Maybe my gf is spiking my food with EPO and thats why I can bang it out on hardly any training?

Don't go bragging about a 3:07 Brah. ;)

Where's da Beef?

Guy I work with has run 2:31. Is that fast?

I hate bananas. They have to be perfectly ripe, like off the vine, or I won't touch them.

2:31 is pretty dang fast. He only has to shave off 9 minutes and he is in the USA men’s Olympic qualifier race!

I agree with you about the bananas being ripe before consumption. I notice that Starbucks is in trouble with the Vegans for using crushed beetles to color one of the ridiculously overpriced mix-ups.

Considering where I and how I grew up peanut butter was always on the menu. When I got out / away from home I discovered nutella and got hooked on that with banana's.

But,,,,,,I am really considering giving up banana’s all together due to my latest encounter with 10 of them. :D

I really avoid this thread but, here are couple examples of raw vegans that get great results without being blowhards about it.

:)

the fruitarian has some good PR's. Does he eat 30 banana's a day? Prob Not;)

Just got in a week of "2 a days". Feel like I need to eat a ribeye.

I have to see the doctor tomorrow for blood tests they said no eating after midnight and just drink plenty of water. I wonder if they will tell me to eat vegan?

We have nougati here...basically same as nutella. I have yet to eat with bananas, but now I must try it. I do not think it will replace my peanut butter tho.

I import my natural peanut butter (thanks pernts!) :D

My comments about blowhards was not directed at you.
Neither Michael nor TIm eat 30 bananas a day.
If you feel you need to eat a ribeye or the whole cow I am not one to stop you or condemn you.
Hope your blood tests turn out good. :)

Ha ha. Ive lived with Mike and dined with Tim. What do you think they eat as fruit based vegans? 40lbs of watermelon a day? Do the math of how many calories a day it takes to be that fit.

Do the math, what fruit will let an elite athlete punch out those times?
Its dates, bananas or mangoes. Nothing else will sustain.

You wont ever see a fast fruit eater that doesnt eat bananas or dates as their staple. Your gonna carry 18 litres of orange juice over WS100? LOL!
