I wish the race organisers would improve their race coverage, get the country's tourism board behind to show off the real Colombia and not the bad press that Colombia gets.

Something on cyclingtorrents, or proper highlights on youtube (with Libertine's "story of the race" suggestion).

it is indeed horrible, 3 mountainstages and no mountaintop finishes, worst route I've ever seen for this race

This year's route is tailor made for Sevilla and Henao, in that order. The only exciting thing will be the battle for the 3rd place.

henao will win for sure on this course if they let him. I pray to god sevilla won't win. it will make colombian cycling look really bad but in colombia they think he's a god or something

What could 'save' the race for me is a good performance by Quintana. The decisive stage will probably be the mountain time trial, and he is very good at those. In general though, I agree that a Sevilla-Henao procession looks almost inevitable.

+1

but sevilla probably will win
in MOUNTAIN ITT in vuelta antiochia he destroyed henao
this year in vuelta it looks like itt in the mountain will be decisive.

sevilla winning the vuelta will give a bad image to colombian cycling.:(

You know, you can't hype the Colombians up all year long, saying they'll dominate international cycling for decades to come, and then say Sevilla will win their most important race with ease. You just can't.

in colombia ( and in south america) there are many talented readers.

betancour, youngest rider in the giro, was one of the rider i wrote about : he performed very well, at age 21, in the finestre stage of the giro
ruyano confirmed he is one fo the best climbers in the world and without ilnesses , he would have top5 in the giro, easily.

it ia s shame that other talented riders like henao, quintana and others wil be shadowed by sevilla, which has a very discussed profile-

aniway, if you look back at my post, you will realize that i was also hyping pinot months before the dauphinee: i know there is talent in many part of the words, not only among english speaking riders.

While I do agree with you, to be fair most colombian best riders won't be riding the Vuelta a Colombia, others are still too young to deal with a 2 weeks stage race, Sevilla has one hell of a team and the route is more suited to him than to a pure climber.

today is the team presentation. I hope there will be a video of it later.

the course as said before is very weak which will probably mean war on the flats. expect teams to massively attack when one of the favorites has a flat anywhere on the flat course as happened with duarte in 2009
