Bad news today - Quintana has crashed and gone to hospital, Henao was also involved in a crash (not sure if it was the same one) and is in pain but continuing.

Edit: No broken bones for Quintana, it turns out.

Yep, Henao and his teammate Acevedo are now together at the front, I think.

Edit: Maybe not - not sure which ticker to believe.

Looks like Henao is OK. Gosh the only stage in which Henao can attack is the last stage. This Vuelta was really design for Sevilla to win and he screwed up.

I agree with you, Escarabajo. It was a route totally favorable to Sevilla. It seems he had a gastric problem at La Línea. Anyways, I'm happy we won't win.

This is now Henao for the taking. Cárdenas doesn't have enough advantage to hold him in the TT. Perhaps Báez will give Henao a run for his money, but that's all. Barred a bad day, Henao will win La Vuelta.

So Oscar Sevilla won the stage today from a group of around 40 riders. Cardenas was second and buttressed his lead with some bonus seconds.

Big attack by Sevilla and Henao. Sevilla attacked on a descent and quickly build up a lead of 1:40, Henao is now trying to bridge up to him with the help of another teammate. 40 kms to go.

Sevilla has around 20 km of gentle descent/flat to negotiate before a 3km 6.3% climb which crests 2.7km from the finish. There are sure to be some more attacks on El Gato there.

Edit: Sevilla has increased his lead slightly, to 1.52.
