Why is the gap decreasing? Whenever they show the chasing group, it looks like it's just random individuals from unimportant teams pulling. Doesn't make sense.

Sorry I might have to beat you up now.

Whereas the front has BMC & Lotto...

Some teams are being very selfish in not assisting BMC and katusha with setting the pace for group 1.

The split in geelong was way different because it was in the 2nd circuit.

Generally because they are mainly single riders, so why would they.

There's probably a bigger number of random riders chasing than about 6 people that have been pulling the first group for the last 40km

The Cipressa could be interesting, as now some bigs will move there and others will be forced to follow, the gregarios will be tired and won't be able to help keep the course together, as usual, in the 9 k's after the descent to the Poggio.

We could see a group of bigs at the base of the Poggio looking to attack themselves and decide the race.

lets hope they don't get back together . . . .a non sprinter M-SR would be cool

Plenty of sprinters in the front group, Scarponi, Visconti behind apparently.

RAI just showed 1:48; even if not entirely accurate doesn't look as though the gap is coming down any longer. I don't think it's going to happen.. ~20k to the Cipressa; I think it's going to be a chaotic finale.. I like Sagan or Canc in this situation. Not picking Gilbert.
