You know what. I'm going with Freire to win. Rabo has been strong at this point in the season and I guess they could be motoring to the 1st group. Freire doesn't need the team for anything, after that.

the gap might increase still, if the leopards decide to start working. are we sure bennati is in the first group? i thought i saw him in the second group, but I'm no good at recognizing riders.

Well done to the poster who said this was like worlds Geelong. I can see the parallels and i think that group 1 will get caught.

In fact if Gilbert goes and predictably turns out once again to just not be good enough on the flat (not quite Cancellara) then you will have been spot on.

I'm hoping a non sprinter will win today, even if the 2nd group close the gap. Must helpers will be really tired by then, so it would be easier for a puncheur to attack later on. Wishful thinking. :)

Some teams are being very selfish in not assisting BMC and katusha with setting the pace for group 1.

The split in geelong was way different because it was in the 2nd circuit.

So.... HTC and Garmin not working in the second group, happy enough with Goss and Haussler (why wouldn't you be), so if it comes back together they should have some legs left to keep it settled.

Why is the gap decreasing? Whenever they show the chasing group, it looks like it's just random individuals from unimportant teams pulling. Doesn't make sense.

Someone else needs to help Lotto/Katusha/BMC

I noticed that! like me on the way to work..

I reckon this will come back BTW because none of the big hitters behind have started trying yet.

Gilbert just has to control power of his attack this time, so that he is not alone on flat then. :D
