If he can't win with this sort of leg up he really should start to worry.

If Gilbert goes then Greipel shouldn't worry; it's the best card Lotto have - Greipel needn't do any work because nobody wants to let Gilbert go, but they won't want to drag Greipel to the line either. It's just whether or not he can make it over the climbs.

pozatto for the win, if he is in the front group, I guess he is though.

Was thinking about him winning yesterday, because he didn't show anything in recent weeks.

Freire tactics :D

EBH is in the main group, looking fairly lonely with no teammates near him. Things are looking good for him though, with many of the faster sprinters than him already being dropped.

Seriously though, screw BMC. Half the peloton falls and they decide to hit the front. What a honorable tactic. Not like they will win anyway. And no ACF, I don't care! :p

i don't like when people go around insulting people like that ;)

Especially when they have probably never met the person and only know what the press has printed

It's the Leopard way.

You're making a false deduction anyway.

I said it was disappointing - I didn't ask for a mulligan.

you pretty much did. when you said it was disappointing that some favorites got left behind so early in the race. so to please you they should all be there in the last 500 meters what would make the 297.5 k's of racing before that boring

Well that was fast.

Basically a split in the bunch. Hushovd, Farrar, Cav, Goss, Friere are 2 mins back of the others. Haussler, Pozz, Griepel, Canc, Gilbert still in it.

That's racing.

Really, it's how it should be IMO.

Still might come together though. None of the big hitters in the front group are going to do a tap on the front....they will run out of riders to pull it along soon...

Sort of - given the other riders in the group I would be careful talking of Griepel as a given for any sprint - if I was riding for another team in that front group, Griepel would not be the 1st person I was worried about dragging to the line.

A bit useful this. The smaller group holding the gap on the bunch.
I'm surprised Cancellara hasn't sat on the front and told BMC and Katusha to sit up, so as they can all catch up.;)

A Goss, Sagan, Haussler, Boasson Hagen showdown by the looks of things unless the Italians tear it to bits on the Poggio

They were alrady on the front pushing the pace. Thor, Cav and others should of been up the front.
