Looks like this is set up for a non-sprinter to win with a smaller first group.

But there are plenty of sprinters in the front group.

On the other hand, the few teams who DO have sprinters in the front group are burning them up right now staying ahead of 2nd peloton.... Which means they'll have noone to chase down Gilbert and/or Cancellara when the attacks come.

so you think they should wait for the guys who were bad placed on an important part of the course and got caught on a crash and left behind? they were badly placed so they deserve what they got. waiting for them would be a non racing attitude.

You make a good point. Not many sky, htc or garmin riders in front group even those teams have sprinters present.

Front: Cancellera, Haussler, Gilbert, Boonen, Ballan, Greipel, Petacchi, Boassen Hagen, Bennati, O'Grady, Pozzato...
